There are several sightseeing tips to enjoy a holiday in the environment:


  • Opposite the holiday park you will find the 18-hole golf course of golf park Burggolf in St. Nicolaasga.
  • There are sailing, sailing and windsurfing opportunities on the Langweerder Wielen and the Frisian Lakes.
  • The subtropical swimming pool "Swimfun" with waves and water slides, is located 7 km away in Joure.
  • You can also go to Joure for a game of bowling or a game of mini golf at the 't Haske in Joure conference center.
  • In and around Joure you will find various riding schools.
  • Tennis courts can be found in Langweer, St. Nicolaasga and in Joure.
  • Wellness & Beauty Sauna De Woudfennen in Joure offers you day packages, but also just a sauna visit.
  • South / West Friesland has several museums to offer, such as:
    • the Museum Joure with its clockmaker / copper foundry workshop, the birth house and the 1st Douwe Egberts shop.
    • the Frisian ice-skating museum in Hindelopen.
    • The Jopie Huisman (painter) museum in Workum.
    • The maritime museum in Sneek
  • Joure and Langweer both have a pleasant shopping street with nice boutiques, cheese shop, lifestyle shops and bookstore.
  • Some of the Frisian 11-cities, such as Sneek, Stavoren of Leeuwarden with their fountains, are definitely worth visiting.
  • You can visit a cinema in Sneek, Heerenveen or Leeuwarden.
  • In the period October to March, Thialf in Heerenveen is open for recreational and competition skating.
  • Culinary restaurants, recommended in the restaurant guide 'Lekker' (in Joure 2 and in Langweer 1 restaurant)!
  • But also several bistros, pizzerias, Chinese, Turkish and Greek restaurants can be found in both villages.

At the resort you can:

  • Go swimming and  sunbathing in and near the swimming pond.

  • There is a playing field next to the swimming pond where various games such as volleyball and football can be played.

  • Fishing enthusiasts can pick up their fishing rod in the various water features of the park. There are also fishing cards available at the reception of the park..

  • At the brasserie you can go for a drink, a snack, an ice cream or a dinner in the restaurant section.

  • An afternoon boat trip? The brasserie also rents out a sloop. Via the park you can easily reach the Langweerder Wielen.

  • From the cottage you can walk or cycle straight into the Vegelin forests. Maps are available at the park reception for various walking and cycling routes that range from 10 to 40 km. These routes run past Frisian villages, towns, lakes and nature reserves.
